Latest News Continued Growth at Marshall Miller & Associates  Marshall Miller & Associates (MM&A), a multi-service civil, mining, environmental, and geologic consulting firm is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Laurance A. Beck, PE, P.G., Senior Engineering Manager to its Camp Hill, Pennsylvania staff. Dr. Beck has more than 35 years experience with mining engineering projects across the US and Latin America in aggregate and coal mining projects. Dr. Beck also has extensive experience with roadway construction projects in Pennsylvania. He served as an officer in the US Army Reserve with duty in the Army Corps of Engineers for nearly 30 years. He received his doctorate from Penn State University, and was previously a manager at Skelly and Loy. |

Governor Elects MM&A Senior Vice President to the State Board of Geologists  Joseph B. Vance, C.P.G., Senior Vice President of Marshall Miller & Associates, Inc. (MM&A) has been appointed by Governor Tim Kaine, to the Virginia State Board of Geologists. Mr. Vance will serve a four-year term on the board. Essential tasks of the board include licensing of those engaged in the public practice of geology, response to complaints from the public and members of the profession, and public education directed at appropriate regulatory communities. The board also works closely with related boards and commissions, works toward the establishment of ethical standards and conducts public outreach. |
