Experience Matt Conrad is a petroleum geologist with over 19 years of diverse exploration and development experience in conventional and coaled methane (CBM) reservoirs. He has worked in a variety of geologic settings including CBM resource assessment and evaluation in the central and northern Appalachian Basin, Cherokee Basin, Deep River Basin, Eastern Shelf and Arkoma Basin area of Oklahoma, Forest City Basin, Illinois Basin, Richmond Basin, San Juan Basin, Valley Coal Fields, and Western Canada.

Mr. Conrad also has a wide range of work experience mapping conventional oil and gas reservoirs. Major areas of expertise include regional mapping of the Pennsylvanian, Mississippian and Devonian-Age classic reservoirs, as well as Mississippian and Slur-Devonian Age carbonates in the Appalachian and Illinois Basins. Mr. Conrad has also evaluated conventional oil and gas reservoirs in the Mid-Continent region.

Mr. Conrad has gained significant practical work experience in CBM production and drilling in the central Appalachian Basin. As the project geologist for Equitable Production Company, he was involved in the initiation and development of the Nora CBM Field, Virginia (350 Bcf proved reserves), including the drilling of over 400 CBM wells. Later as Senior Geologist, he led the exploration and development efforts in southern West Virginia including the leasing of over 55,000 acres and drilling of 35 commercial CBM wells. Additionally, he has been involved in several acquisition evaluations for CBM and conventional reserves.

Mr. Conrad currently oversees the oil & gas and CBM activities at MM&A. His primary responsibilities at MM&A include supervising regional CBM evaluations, evaluating conventional oil and gas properties, assisting in reserve evaluations, providing due diligence support for company acquisitions and developing new business opportunities.
