Experience John C. Lydzinski holds the position of Vice President and is located in MM&A's Camp HIll, Pennsylvania branch office. Mr. Lydzinski has direct experience in hazardous waste consulting (RCRA); managing complex projects including CERCLA RI/FS studies and remediation; compliance and permitting; performing Phase I and II ESAs for multiple properties; property redevelopment (Brownfield Projects); and emergency response services. Mr. Lydzinski has extensive experience providing due diligence work and environmental audits on coal and oil & gas acquisition projects; providing geologic and hydrologic consultation on various coal mining permits; and preparing NPDES discharge permits on centralized wastewater treatment facilities associated with the natural gas industry.


Selected Project Experience

  • Managed various geologic and environmental projects for eastern coal and international clients.
  • Developed a “Social and Environmental” feasibility report to secure international bank financing for a proposed longwall mine in Shanxi Province, China.
  • Designed an “Environmental Management Plan” to be used as the source document in organizing the establishment of an environmental department at the proposed mining venture in China.
  • Evaluated geologic and environmental conditions of bituminous and anthracite mining operations in the Czech Republic.
  • Prior to joining MM&A, John was employed by the El Paso Corporation in Houston, Texas. During the last few years of his tenure with El Paso, John worked on the following projects:
    • Managed environmental affairs at 160,000 barrel per day refinery in Aruba, N.V. Projects included asbestos testing/abatement, waste management, oil spill response, toxic waste clean-up, and disposal of PCB contaminated cooling oils.
    • Address air and water compliance issues at El Paso’s Unilube facility in West Memphis, Arkansas as well as various oil storage terminals in Louisiana, New Jersey, and Texas.
    • Manage environmental program for Eastern Coal and Power Operations in Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania.
