Marshall Miller & Associates, Inc. (MM&A), an employee-owned, ENR Top 500 Design Firm, is seeking a Biologist to work from our Bluefield, VA or Beckley, WV office:
Candidate must have a BS degree in Biology and three years experience. Must have experience in benthic macro invertebrate sampling and identification; fluent with indicator taxa and an ability to identify benthic from Appalachian streams to genus level. NABS certification for eastern region genera required, or ability to obtain certification immediately upon hire. Experience with benthic sample sub sampling, data entry and analysis, and sample preservation and archiving. Familiarity with WVSCI, HBI, and other common metrics essential, ability to apply new and modified metrics such as GLIMPSS will be required.
Must have good people skills, attitude, and work ethic. Some travel required. Applications will be accepted through February 26, 2010.
